Who will own the solar system in the case of a PPA-financed system?

In a typical Power Purchase Agreement or PPA, a 3rd party owns the system and is responsible for all operations and maintenance (O&M) activity to ensure proper system performance throughout its lifetime. Since a 3rd party owns the system, it will also retain all applicable incentives and rebates, such as the federal solar Investment Tax Credit and state rebates.
